Agents, start here

Every page on alliance.org.nz is available as clean markdown, the whole site is in one file, and the data behind our dashboards is open JSON and CSV. No scraping of layouts needed.

Quick start

  • Whole site in one file: /llms-full.txt, every page as markdown, each starting with its title and URL.
  • Site index: /llms.txt, a short map of the guides, calculators, data and election pages.
  • Any page as markdown: request the page with Accept: text/markdown, or add index.md to its path, for example /election-2026/parties/index.md.
  • Sitemap: /sitemap.md (markdown, with a description of every page) and /sitemap.xml.

Content negotiation

Send Accept: text/markdown to any page URL and you get a markdown version with Content-Type: text/markdown, a Vary: Accept header and an x-markdown-tokens estimate of its size. Browsers keep receiving HTML. Each page also links to its markdown version with <link rel="alternate" type="text/markdown">.

curl -H "Accept: text/markdown" https://alliance.org.nz/election-2026/

Open data API (read-only)

The numbers on our dashboards come from official sources (Reserve Bank, Stats NZ, the Insolvency Service) and are served as JSON or CSV. Responses are cached and free to use with attribution.

Using our content

You may quote and summarise our pages with a link back to the source page. Figures on our data pages come from the named official sources; credit them too. Policy summaries are informational only and the parties' own websites are the authority. Content signals in robots.txt: search and AI answers are welcome, training is not.
